I am Anna Zsoldos (1995, Hungary) a curator and art historian from Budapest. My main field is contemporary architecture. I mean the crossroads of contemporary architecture and art. Currently, I work as a curator and researcher in the department of contemporary phenomena at the Ethnography Museum. Besides, I have freelance curating and writing projects. I'm in permanent collaboration with Architecture Uncomfortable Workshop. I work voluntarily as a board member of FKSE (Studio of Young Artists’ Association).
I have problems with authorship in art. The topic of my PhD research is the character and the role of the builders in contemporary architecture. Architecture is a field of art which is made by many hands, but we only speak about the architect. My goal is to reverse the narratives of architecture: look at who is hidden but also the part of the process. That's why I started to make interviews with construction workers, carpenters, and masters. I am really interested in the medium of short films, and video essays. So I try to search for the noname, ordinary, unprofessional, common/shared identities and authorities.
