A sound performance by artists, musicians and sound designers John Richards and Oliver Torr. The pair will invite other Brno artists and sound and noise enthusiasts to join them in the performance to create a unique musical work. This sound performance will be largely improvised and created especially for the Vasulka Kitchen Brno space.

John Richards / Dirty Electronics is a sound artist and an extremely interesting personality. To write about him as an important figure in the experimental music scene is actually very confusing. He explores electronics and sounds in their raw form, builds and develops instruments from found objects, and is a renowned composer. His instruments are statement pieces, his concerts unexpectedly powerful performances. He moves quite sovereignly in both the academic world and the international DIY scene. His work pushes and blurs the boundaries between music, performance art, electronics and graphic design, and his interdisciplinary work often has a social-critical dimension. As a theorist, he writes about electronic and post-digital music and their aspects. He has written extensively on DIY practices, electronic music performance and object-oriented, material approaches in relation to sound art.

Oliver Torr is a musician, sound designer and nomad who moves confidently in the European space on the Berlin-Prague-Athens axis. John Richards has chosen him to produce his next album.
