Emergency. Preparing for the Future

On Wednesday, 29 November 2025 at 5 pm we cordially invite you to the House of the Lords of Kunštát for a guided tour of the exhibition Emergency. Preparing for the Future and a discussion with curator Lenka Dolanová, Tereza Dědinová, Tamás Kaszás, Martin Nawrath and other guests. We will discuss the presence of the climate crisis theme in contemporary art and culture, the relationship between visual art, literature and climate fiction, the importance of sharing stories and the therapeutic possibilities of art in dealing with climate grief. We will relate these themes directly to specific works in the exhibition during a subsequent guided tour.

The event will be followed by a second guided tour in Vasulka Kitchen Brno. Curators Marika Svobodová, Tatiana Drgonec Dižová and Gajane Achverdjanová will present the exhibition Michaela Davidova: The Metabolising Analogue.

Mgr. TEREZA DĚDINOVÁ, Ph. D. is an assistant professor at the Institute of Czech Literature at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno. She is the author of After the Strange Landscape. Fantastic Literature in Interdisciplinary Exploration (2017).

TAMÁŠ KASZÁS is an artist originally from Hungary. His themes include exploring the survival possibilities of economic, ecological and social crises, and he also thematizes folklore and forgotten folk traditions and skills. His gallery presentations take the form of large-scale installations combining various objects and materials. In his current exhibition in Brno, he exhibits the results of "self-anthropology", thematizing survival situations.

MARTIN NAWRATH is a facilitator and therapist. He studied biochemistry at Masaryk University in Brno. He provides individual and couple counselling and facilitation support to groups in the field of conflict resolution, strategic and community planning, especially in the context of environmental protection, territorial development, education, social welfare, etc. Recently, she has been working on the issue of climate crisis and environmental grief at individual and societal levels.
