Exhibition series Your Addiction Is the Message
In 2023, Brno Artists in Residence launched an open call for its 2024 residency and exhibition programme, centered on the theme of addictions and escape strategies in the context of art. Under the overarching title Your Addiction Is the Message—a reinterpretation of media theorist Marshall McLuhan's iconic phrase "The medium is the message"—the programme seeks to explore addictions as embedded sources of information, potentially essential to processes of world change in times of polycrisis.
