Jan Ambrůz

The exhibition, held at the House of Arts from 17 August to 30 October 2022, marks the return of sculptor Jan Ambrůz to exhibition activity after 12 long years. Since 2007, the long-time head of the Sculpture 2 studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology, has been devoted mainly to activist and community activities within the framework of the Jinákrajina (Anotherlandscape) project, which he initiated after returning to his native Šarovy near Zlín. The activity of the project is focused on the cultivation of landscape and shows a deeper integrity of the artist's relationship to nature - Ambrůz's thinking about sculpture, space and landscape merges into one indivisible whole.
