Leon Eisermann (GER)

The artist Leon Eisermann, born in East Berlin in 1987, currently lives and works in Berlin. His artistic expression is particularly evident in his paintings and sculptures. He examines enduring symbols of popular cultural artifacts and clichés, collecting and interweaving the symbolism and metaphors of current events with nostalgic imagery. His visual practice is influenced by his working experiences in the club and techno landscape of post-reunification Berlin and the rapid transformation of the city. His work strives to show the dual nature of humor, which also encompasses great fear, despair, melancholy and hardship.
