Sérgio Leitão (PRT)

Sérgio Leitão was born in 1971 in Monte Estoril, Portugal. Leitão studied Advanced Visual Arts Studies Program + PhD in Visual Arts (FBAPv / UVIGO); Degree in Fine Arts (ESAP); Independent Visual Arts Program (MAUMAUS); Gasthof Program (STÄDELSCHULE); Sculpture / Photography (ARCO) and Video Art (GULBENKIAN FOUNDATION) programs.

Sérgio Leitão’s works seek to explore connections between different fields of knowledge, frequently presented in the form of contextual mixed media installations, at the intersection of sculpture, painting and video, as well as autonomous pieces in several media.
