PARTITION #1
15. 11. 2017 – 30. 12. 2017
House of the Lords of Kunštát, G99
Curator
Marta Fišerová Cwiklinski
Benjamin Bronni, a German painter and sculptor of the upcoming generation, has become, since mid-October, the new resident at the House of the Lords of Kunštát in Brno. His residency takes place thanks to the cooperation of Gedok Stuttgart, the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno and the Brno House of Arts programme Brno Artists in Residence. The output of his residency will be an exhibition at the G99 Gallery, introducing new sculptures created in the course of his one-month stay and inspired by architecture (of Brno, among others). The exhibition will further comprise a painting made directly on the gallery wall and based on the architectural properties of the space. Playing with light and shadows, the painting is subordinated to a geometric structure and, just like all Bronni’s works, is characterized by meticulous execution.
The exhibition is a result of Benjamin Bronni residency - more about the artist here.
The artist’s residency is financially supported by the Czech Ministry of Culture.
