Public Presentation of Szymon Rozwałka’s Studio

We cordially invite you to a presentation by the Polish-Czech architect Szymon Rozwałka, head of one of the studios at FA BUT, which is participating in the exhibition Vector of Poverty. The event, part of the exhibition’s accompanying program, will take place on Tuesday, March 25, at 5pm in Vasulka Kitchen Brno.

The core idea of Szymon Rozwałka’s studio is the belief that poverty cannot be entirely eradicated. Instead of viewing it as a flaw or a temporary anomaly, we should recognize it as an inherent part of our world. Poverty manifests in many forms, and just as architecture plays a role in shaping our environment, it is our responsibility not to become indifferent to it. Reflecting on the role of architecture in addressing complex social issues is a crucial part of this approach. The Vector of Poverty exhibition aims to contribute to this dialogue as an active element.

Szymon Rozwałka (*1970, Szczecin) studied architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Technical University of Szczecin (1996). In 2001, together with Paweł Wachnicki, he founded the architectural studio C+HO_aR, based in Szczecin, which has been active in the Czech Republic since its inception. In 2007, C+HO_aR split into two independent studios—one in Szczecin and the other in Olomouc (since 2011 in Brno).
