Andrea Soós (H)

Andrea Soós is a curator and researcher based in Budapest, Hungary. She worked as a curatorial assistant at the Ludwig Museum – Museum of Contemporary Art and as a museum publication editor at the Hungarian National Gallery. Between 2015 and 2019 she was the manager of the Trapéz gallery in Budapest. As an independent curator she has collaborated with various contemporary art organizations such as tranzit.hu, tranzit.sk, OFF Biennial Budapest and ngbk – Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst in Berlin. She holds an MA degree in art and design theory from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest, and an MA in curatorial studies from the University of Applied Arts, Vienna. She is the co-author and editor of the book about the work of the Hungarian avant-garde fashion designer Tamás Király. In her curatorial work she explores the potential of micro-structures, alternative lifestyles, human interactions and their influence on larger-scale social settings.
