The Immortal Bouquet exhibition draws the viewer into the setting of an old garden centre that has lost its original market potential. The sale and arranging of fresh-cut flowers, whose original beauty has gradually changed, both in shape and genetically, together with the taste or mood of consumers. Decorative flowers become the narrators of their own story and of the place’s memory.
Nina Grúňová (1990) is a graduate of the Painting Studio of Luděk Rathouský at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno; she is currently finishing her second MA study at the Film and TV School, specialising in Audiovisual Studies. The artist’s residency takes place within the joint programme of the Faculty of Fine Arts and the House of Arts – FAVU Graduate Residency.
