Lovro Japundžić (HR)

Lovro Japundžić is a curator and producer based in Zagreb, Croatia. He is a member of the curatorial collective behind Organ Vida, a festival and platform dedicated to researching image-based practices in relation to contemporary visual and popular culture. He also works as co-director of Močvara Gallery, where his curatorial approach centers on performance art and productions that provoke or create performative situations, challenging established definitions of choreography and the dynamics between performer and audience.

Previously, he worked as the artistic director of Miroslav Kraljević Gallery (GMK). In 2024, he curated the 37th edition of the Youth Salon, a biennial exhibition showcasing young Croatian artists, under the title 'The Clock Fell Into The Well'. The exhibition explored the politics of time, investigating alternative and parallel temporalities attuned to the plurality of worlds we inhabit.

Beyond curating, he has been involved in production, collaborating with BADco., a collective focused on performance, and working as a program selector for Živa Muzika, a collective promoting innovative approaches to club music. He has participated in numerous international residencies and projects, including the Young Curators Residency Programme by Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Madrid (2023), CuratorLab at Konstfack, University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm (2021/2022), Parallel – European Platform for Contemporary Photography (2018/2019), Stacion – Summer School as School in Pristina (2018), among others.
