The Secret Life of the House

The installation in the Jaroslav Král Gallery will radically transform the way of movement and perception of space. Concrete formwork will create an alternative environment in which Helena Lukášová's works will be exhibited. These works freely interpret the architecture of the buildings designed by Michal Palaščak.

In a virtual three-dimensional space, the artist abandons the traditional imitation of reality and creates fragmented, distorted structures that evoke the view through distorting lenses and curved mirrors. These spaces are complemented by organic shapes that symbolize the hidden happenings inside the buildings - their invisible essence and meaning.

The installation will be enriched with three-dimensional objects and animations that will offer new perspectives of the artist's interpretations. In these works, architectural forms are transformed into living organisms or cosmic bodies with a life of their own. Just as we live independently of architecture, yet remain inextricably linked to it.

Open Tuesday to Sunday 10am-6pm, extended opening hours until 8pm on Wednesdays.
