Uladzimir Hramovich (BLR)
1. 5. 2021 – 31. 5. 2021
Uladzimir Hramovich (b. 1989) is an artist based in Minsk, Belarus, whose work explores the development and influence of ideology and social change on "matter" - be it in lithography, scans of documents or in the structure of a city. He is interested in "getting stuck" in memory and copies, reproductions - where there is no "aura" anymore, but there is something that is not present in the original. Recent projects concern working with archival documents, the history of visual culture of the USSR and contemporary Belarus, as well as objects from private art collections and city spaces.
As an artist and as an activist, he takes part in protests in Belarus. He was arrested and spent 15 days in prison.
